Association

PHASE Austria was founded as an Austrian non-profit association in 2007

Our goal is to support a sustainable development in remote and/or disadvantaged communities in Nepal, in particular to improve access to quality healthcare, education, and livelihoods.

In our work, we cooperate with PHASE worldwide, a British charity, and with PHASE Nepal, our Nepali sister organisation responsible for implementing our projects in Nepal.

The association in Austria is a non-profit member organisation run by a board of volunteers. We raise funds for our projects from private donations, but also from institutional donors (state and foundations).

Our activities are focused on improving the access of remote and/or disadvantaged communities in Nepal to quality primary health care and education, and the improvement of food security and income opportunties of people in remote villages.

After the devastaging earchquakes in 2015, we not only provided immediate disaster relief but are also were able to fund reconstruction projects in affected rural communities.

The association has no political or religious affiliation. We advocate for a non-discriminatory, inclusive, community-centred and participative approach with a focus on promoting the empowerment of the target populations.

Do you need additional information on our work, or do you have a question? Contact us – we are happy to provide any information. You can find detailed information on our projects on this website as well as on our facebook page, on youtube, or by subscribing to our quarterly newsletter (in German).

PHASE Austria is a registered charity – donations are tax-deductible in Austria (registration number SO-2226)

Since 2011, PHASE Austria has the Austrian “Spendengütesiegel”, a seal of approval for efficient use of donations. Our accounts are audited by a chartered accountant every year. Thanks to volunteers for a number of activities, we are able to keep our administrative costs to a minimum. We would also like to thank the ERSTE Bank for waiving its fees for our bank account.
